"The Bachelorette" kicked off its seventh season last night, with Ashley Herbert meeting her group of suitors.
But first, we have to see a montage of the dental student, showing us she's ready to find love (on television) again, after being dismissed by Brad Womack on the last season of "The Bachelor."
Some of the men stood out right away - for better or worse. Jeff wore a mask, which was supposed to make Ashley see beyond his looks. Tim got drunk, passed out and was kicked out. Others tried to woo her with French, celebrity impressions and a broken compass (yes, really - from a guy named West).
The most awkward first-impression gimmick came from Mickey, who tried to pull a Chantal (remember when she told Brad she had a message from every women in America - and then slapped him?) on Ashley - but instead of a slap, he went in for a full-on kiss. Ashley recoiled to avoid the smooch, so the move definitely was not a success.
And then there's Bentley. While chatting with Chris Harrison before the party, Ashley admits she'd already been warned about this guy - one of her "Bachelor" friends told her that he's just on the show to promote his business. And it looks like her friend was right - though he charms Ashley by talking about his daughter, he tells the camera he's not "overly attracted" to her.
At the end of the night, these are the guys who receive roses: Jeff (the masked man), Constantine, Ben F., Lucas, Stephen, Matt, Nick, Chris D., Ryan M., Blake, Mickey (the Chantal impersonator), Ben C., West, William, J.P. and, yes, Bentley.
Tell us: What did you think of the season premiere?
