Due to the government mandating that time be shifted an hour, I am up later than I would have preferred.
It is past 8, well after the arrival of the sun, this second Sunday of March.
As you can see, looking through the bars of my patio prison cell, it is a sunny Sunday in North Texas.
Sunny and 60 degrees.
Which means, even though I am running late, I'll be going swimming this morning.
I think around noon I will be heading to Veterans Park in Arlington and then on to the ALDI in Pantego. That is what I did last Sunday, and creature of habit that I be, I tend to repeat myself.

Up Early The Second Friday Of March With No Tsunami From Japan Expected To Hit Fort Worth
It is the second Friday of the third month of 2011. In two days Daylight Savings Time starts up. Which means I may be doing my morning swimming in the dark for awhile.
This morning it is 44 degrees out there. I believe the 24 hour average has been over 50 degrees. So, I am going swimming this morning in that blue oasis you see in the picture.
I have myself a big backlog of blogging fodder this morning. Subjects ranging from gators to tsunamis.
Speaking of tsunamis.
I suspect the Galtex's, this morning, up in Seattle, are experiencing their first tsunami watch, as waves generated by Japan's worst earthquake ever, an 8.9 shaker, are expected to hit the west coast. To get to Seattle a tsunami has to makes its way in from the Pacific Ocean through the Straits of Juan de Fuca and then on to Puget Sound.
I remember one time heading out to Deception Pass on Whidbey Island to watch a possible incoming tsunami. No detectable wave was seen.
In my current location, hundreds of miles from saltwater, north of being deep in the heart of Texas, there will be no incoming tsunami today.
Just sunshine and semi-warm temperatures.
I think I'll go outside and work on my suntan right now. Talk to you later.

Today's Shadow Of The Tandy Thin Man Thinking About Good News For Fort Worth's Paradise Center
The sun was in full exposure mode at noon today, which brought the Shadow of the Tandy Thin Man into view. Because it was noon it made for a very short Shadow of the Tandy Thin Man.
Sources close to the situation tell me that there may be good news soon about the Paradise Center. It seems there are some good people in Fort Worth who when they learn someone has done a bad deed, come forward and try to help right the wrong.
I also heard from Wandalyn again. Wandalyn is going to look into the idea of starting a blog as a memorial to her murdered daughter.
And, as if Wandalyn does not have enough grief, she was coming home to the apartment she lives in with another daughter, to find the body of a young black man. Shot in the head. Wandalyn called 911 and then waited by the bod until police arrived.
I saw my first Tandy Hills wildflowers of the year today.
68 degrees out there coming up on 4 in the afternoon. My windows are open. Daylight Savings Time starts up March 13. I would prefer it not to start up.
