Sister Wives

“Sister Wives” new season offers a more serious and troubled Brown family, as their polygamous life style is under investigation by authorities. Last night's episode showed “Sister Wives” celebrating Christmas, with a caravan of the Brown family heading out to a mountain cabin. The family wanted to get away from their legal woes for a short time.
The legal trouble that the Browns are facing is due to their choice of revealing their polygamy life style. This is not only weighing heavily the adults, but the kids in this family as well. Cody Brown talks about how people that have been tried for polygamy traditionally have been thrown in jail, with their families torn apart. This is a possibility for the sister wives and Cody.
The kids spend their time in the mountains sledding and riding on snow mobiles, but the possibility that their parents may be in trouble puts a damper on things for the Brown children. They are worried about what is going to happen to their parents and to them. Will Cody and his four sister wives be thrown in jail and the kids put in foster homes? This possible dark cloud on the horizon is not something that kids should have to worry about, but is very much a part of their lives right now.
When Cody Brown and the sister wives agreed to do this show, they did know that legal ramifications were a possibility once they to came out in the open. They decided to take the risk because they didn’t want to hide their lifestyle and they also wanted to show how normal life can be within a polygamist family. Chances are the paycheck they receive from this show was also an added attraction.
The “Sister Wives” have shown the world that they are a close loving family that provides the kids with a stable home, but the chance they took to prove their point, may end up being their demise.
Connecticut fans of “Sister Wives” can tune in on Sunday nights on Connecticut’s TLC Channel at 8pm EST.
