Marie Osmond, 51, remarried ex-husband Stephen Craig, 54, Wednesday in Las Vegas, PEOPLE magazine writes. The pair were married from 1982 to 1985 and have a son, also named Stephen, who turned 28 in April.
Craig was Osmond's first husband. She was since married to music producer Brian Blosil from 1986 to 2007. That marriage brought Osmond seven children -- two biological and five adopted.
"I am so happy and look forward to sharing my life with Stephen, who is an amazing man as well as a great father to my children," Osmond said Wednesday.
The wedding was a private ceremony held at the Las Vegas Mormon Temple. According to PEOPLE, Marie walked the aisle in the same Ret Turner-designed dress she wore for the couple's first wedding. The newly-re-weds held a reception in their Nevada home.
Stephen Craig isn't exactly a familiar name, keeping showbiz at a remove despite his relationship with Hollywood staple Osmond. "Craig is a former professional basketball player and travels the country as a motivational speaker," PEOPLE writes.
The happy news comes a little more than a year after Osmond's 18-year-old son, Michael Blosil, committed suicide. Reports of Marie and Stephen reconvening -- and even rumors of a remarriage -- came around the same time. "Stephen helped Marie pull through [after Michael's death] ... He asked her to marry him and she's accepted," one tabloid reported in March 2010.
Osmond and Craig chose May 4 to commemorate the birthdays of both her deceased son and late mother. "It was important that both Michael and my mom were with us on this special day," Osmond says.
In a televised interview during the first marriage, Stephen spoke of his relationship with Marie and how having a child changed things. "Getting married, I don't think was very difficult at all," he said. "We had courted for several years and got to know each other very well. I don't think that changeover was as difficult as becoming a parent."
The reporter of that TV spot submitted that the couple's love would last forever. "I'm so in love," Marie said. "It sounds so dumb. When I see him walk into the room ... he's a great man. He's very secure within himself, and very much an individual. I just ... I love him so much."
TMZ reports that Marie cited "mental cruelty" in her first divorce from Stephen. E! Online writes that the couple stayed friendly in the decades since their divorce.
